About Eat.love.live

Hi! Amy here!

I am so happy to have you here. Living a clean, healthy, and eco-friendly lifestyle means a lot to our family, and because you are here, I guess it means a lot to you too.

I studied pharmacy and biology and worked as a plant biologist at the University of Ghent, Belgium for several years. Struggles with my own health, my dad having a heart attack (which he luckily survived), and my hubby being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), made me rethink much of our life.

Soon I discovered that conventional medicine wasn’t the answer to our health issues. So I decided to go back to school.

I took a 4-year after-work, weekend nutrition and holistic health course at The European Academy For Natural Health Care (EANG, Ghent Belgium) to become the nutritionist and holistic health coach I am today.

As the first guinea pigs, my hubby and I changed our lifestyles one bite at a time… and what an incredible, crazy journey that has been!

And so EatLove.live – a place to share our experiences, tips, tricks, and recipes to live a healthy, happy life – was born!

Eat

Ready to see how easy preparing clean, healthy, whole food meals can be? The recipe section contains tons of delicious plant-based recipes to get you started.

Food is a powerful tool for preventing, managing, and even reversing disease. Though I am an advocate of a whole food, vegan lifestyle, we are all on a different path in our life. Don’t judge too fast, be kind to others.

If you still eat small amounts of animal products, which is absolutely fine, make sure they come from reliable organic, chemical- and hormone-free sources that treat their animals with kindness and respect.

LOVE

Smile – exercise – be grateful – travel – spend time with your loved ones – eat healthily – experience the healing power of Mother Earth – LOVE LIFE!

Love is associated with emotions of joy and happiness. Scientific studies have shown that love causes our body to release feel-good hormones and neurochemicals that trigger specific, positive reactions that make our lives more meaningful.

Love, however, is also associated with depression and anxiety. Happiness is not just about good feelings – it’s also about the absence of bad ones.

EatLove.Live is all about finding the right balance between work, free time, and health to create a love for life!

LIVE

Having a chronic condition such as MS or a heart disease doesn’t necessarily mean illness. With the right tools, you can easily live a normal, happy life.

Going through these amazing changes ourselves made us realize how powerful food and mental well-being are for overall health and happiness. When I changed my family’s health for the better, it felt so good that I wanted to help other families achieve the same result. Because we all deserve to be healthy and happy, right?

The goal of EatLove.Live is to inspire people to embark on a similar life-changing journey to prevent, manage or reverse disease.

Let’s create a happy, healthy life together. Are you ready?

Highly Motivated and Passionate

My hubby hasn’t had a single MS flare-up since we gradually started changing our diet. In 2014 he stopped taking all his expensive conventional meds and hasn’t had a single issue since.

Seeing what a healthy lifestyle and diet did for our family and hearing all the success stories of my clients – seeing them live their life to the fullest again – motivates me even more to keep helping other people by spreading the healthy lifestyle vibe.

Real, Affordable Health

Many believe that eating a healthy diet is super expensive. I hear it all the time. Takeaways are so much cheaper than buying all the ingredients for a meal. Or it is cheaper to buy canned tomatoes than it is to buy fresh tomatoes.

These are common justifications for why people struggle with eating healthily. It is true, some fresh ingredients come at a higher cost, but this cost is nothing compared to the cost of medical bills. Ours went from over $1,000 a month to $0, just by making the right dietary choices.
